Secret Santa on a Budget

I love buying gifts for people. I love picking out that special something that you know the person will love. Unfortunately when buying as part of a Secret Santa at work (or where ever else you might have one) it can be really hard to find the right present.

This year I was given a budget of £10 to buy a gift for someone I'd worked with for about 30 minutes and knew practically nothing about - an interesting challenge to say the least. I'd never really appreciated how difficult it was to buy for someone you don't know - I even began to question whether everyone really did like chocolate!

Anyway, I thought I'd share with you what I eventually put together. It came out a lot better than i expected, although I do feel a little sad for giving it a colour scheme!

Has anyone else found Secret Santa's particularly difficult? How do you manage to buy for someone you don't know?
