So, part of my new year's resolution this year was to exercise more, eat healthier and hopefully lose two stone this year - obviously a little more would be lovely! Any way, in an attempt to keep myself motivated and for you to keep pestering me and make sure I stick to the plan, I'm going to be posting a weekly weight loss update.
Here I'm going to share what I've been doing and any tips and advice I've gained over the last seven days. Hopefully this will be able to help other people who are also trying to make 2013 the year they get the body they want. Please feel free to share your own stories and ideas each week and link to your own blog if you're doing something similar, I'd love to hear from you all!
Week One
I started this week fully enthused to make a dent in my two stone weight loss target. I started the 30 Day Shred, but due to illness I only managed to complete three out of six days. To make up for this I'm hoping to do double shreds this week - it's going to be painful!
This week I also began calorie counting. I use the MyNetDiary app, which is free although an upgraded account is available. My aim was to lose a pound a week, so by entering my stats it gives me a guide to how many calories I should be consuming each day as well has how much salt, fat and protein etc I should include in my diet. I stuck to this all week and was under on my calories most days, filling up on fruit and veg so that I could treat myself to a cookie at the end of the day.
So, here's how I did....
Lost: 3lb
Left to go: 25lb
I was so excited to get on the scales this morning, something that never happens! I'm really hoping I can keep this up, maintaining this loss each week will mean I reach my one stone mark by 4th February!
