5 Days, 5 Colours: Day Five - Purple

Today is the last day of my holiday from work, so that basically means cleaning the flat and desperately trying to go to sleep early instead of at 3am. Admittedly I haven't managed to do any tidying yet and have instead spent the day on Pinterest and practising French, but I'm still counting that as being productive - I'm pinning ideas for events and party planning is it's not complete procrastination!

Today's final post in the 5 Days, 5 Colours challenge is more of an ask for ideas. I bought this dress in a vintage shop sale last year and fell immediately in love with it it - I feel all housewifey when I wear it - but have no idea how to style it. If you have any ideas whatsoever I'd be so grateful! I'd love to wear it but it feels as though it needs something to really make it into an outfit.

I tried to go a little sixties with my make up but went a little heavy on the blusher. I really love bright lipstick and was expecting a lot more pop from this colour. It's a little too glossy for my taste, I tend to prefer more matte colours, but the actual shade of pink is quite nice. For the eyes I've lined the top lashes with a bright purple shadow, contrasted the lower lashes with a soft white liner to tone the look down a little.

So that concludes my 5 Days, 5 Colours challenge. I really enjoyed getting to wear so many colours again although it was difficult to stay away from my everyday staples to complete the challenge. Unfortunately I'm back to black clothes everyday tomorrow, although I've got another weeks holiday to use before the end of March so I'll have a break from it again soon!

Hope you're all having a good weekend!
