Friday Favourites - On A Sunday

Friday Favourites comes a little late this week. I've had the lovely Megan over for the last couple of days so was making the most of a well needed catch up and not having to get up for work every day!

After a few too many slices of her amazing white chocolate cheesecake I thought I had best finish writing this weeks Friday Favourites post and share with you what blogs I've been loving this week.

I love Sammy's nail art posts, they're always creative and inspiring - so much so that I always find myself diving towards my nail polish collection after visiting her blog! Although I've never used nail tattoos myself I've always been impressed my the looks you can create with them. Sammy's post reviewing these bigRuby nail transfers has given me some great ideas of looks I'd like to try myself - I also love the colour combos she's used here, especially on the striped nail.

Any one who knows me will be well aware that I'm a huge Gemma Correll fan. I love the style of her drawings and the quirky and comical characters she creates that often leave me laughing so hard that I'm struggling to breath - maybe she should include a health warning? Anyway, earlier this week Gemma introduced a new series of drawings she's been working on with her two characters Mr. Pickles and Beans. This Wayne's World recreation is the first a series of Movie Classics, I can't wait to see what over films will be introduced to us!

I've been spending a lot of time looking at photography based posts this week. I love the magic of visiting new places through someone else's perspective and have always found myself drawn to the older and more neglected portrayals of building and landscapes than idyllic shots of tranquil beaches and sunsets. For me, Katie has captured Brighton beautifully and I love how the black and white film makes the sea side town look so lost in time. After looking at these pictures I can't wait to visit the town myself one day.

Paula always seems to have this fantastic ability to make even what could be seen to be a simple meal look beautiful. Her attention to detail and presentation never fails to draw me in. Being a bit of a breakfast fanatic myself, although rarely taking the time to enjoy the meal, I love how appetizing and stylish Paula has made granola and tea look. If you're a fan of vintage china and such amazingly presented food you should really check out the rest of her blog, you won't be disappointed!

I've spent a lot of time looking at buffet displays and party favours this week. I'm one of those people who love organising things and will happily obsess over the little details until they're just right. I love these going away gifts that Jordan has created and the attention to detail from what she's put inside the baskets to how she's displays them is amazing and really inspiring. I'd love to be able to create parties and events like this and her blog is the perfect source of inspiration and motivation for me to achieve this goal!

I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend! I'll definitely be making the most of this Sunday especially as Monday brings the return of the dreaded morning shift!
